Day 13 – Feed me meat

•May 5, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Apologies for the lack of updates…

A few days and only really done some setting up of future plans.

Survived a whole week with no meat, how do veggies do it? It not that there isn’t good food made of veg, it’s just that fake food is so wrong. The worst part of it was going to a Lebanese restaurant and seeing the nicest looking kebabs being prepared and having to eat falafel.

Cursing the heavens, the Isle of Wight is gonna have to wait a couple of weeks due to rain, so I’m watching Star Wars today… all of them. In 14 hours time I’ll probably think I am a wookie, instead of just looking like one. Me and Monkey had fun.

Watch all 6 Star Wars films back to back

The beard is doing well :)

Day 7 – still not much going on, but some missing photos

What have I done today?

Grow a beard more clearly, plus I’m using this week to go veggie. It’s hell! If God didn’t want us to eat meat, why do pork pies taste so good?

Any hew, some photos:

Then the touch of death I placed on PFC. I never win when I gamble.

And finally a photo to illustrate being a veggie. Amy’s idea…

Nice double chin there.

Day 6 – nowt

Nothing really happened today.

Though I am begining to get comments on being a hobo, so I went and got a haircut. Looking at some of the photos, perhaps I should have done that a few weeks ago…

Day 5 – zzzzzzzz

Staying awake all night is hard by yourself…

It’s erm 3.30 and I’m farming in Warcraft, that’s low.

Where’s that second can of Red Bull gone?

##Update##

It’s now 5.47 – sunrise in Southampton.

I’ve had a dull night farming cloth, but I stayed awake and that’s the main thing.

Going outside to watch the sun come up then off to bed.

<Later that day>

So bed was 6.15 and then I took forever to fall asleep. You’d think after that long awake you’d drop off straight away. Was rudely awoken by Amy at 11am as we had to leave for football.

So off we went to the home of the mighty blue army, Fratton Park. We’d been sat down for a few minutes when Amy went off to get food (got to have a pie at football!) when i was invited onto the pitch to help them set everything up and then could mill about on the pitch till the players turned up.

Sadly they wanted me now, leaving me with the choice of:

1. Say no and then hit Amy later

2. Say yes and potentially end up on Sky Sports wandering about the pitch with Amy’s handbag

3. Say yes and leave Amy’s handbag. camera, etc unguarded in the stands and probably end up walking home when she returned to find it stolen.

As you can imagine I chose 2, no I mean 1! Honest!

Typical, still another THING done.

Go to a football match

Day 4 – I conquered the Henge

Went to Stonehenge today, it’s quite cool.

Sadly the don’t let you get too close (in case someone (I would) pinch a bit of it) but it does make you wonder how bored people were 5,000 years ago. Definately the oldest thing I’d ever seen (previous to that it was the strange pool-chalk coloured sandwich we found one day in Woolworths).

See Stone Henge

Grew some more beard too. Need to do more than one thing a day if I’m gonna finish this, so gonna attempt to stay awake all night… zzz

Day 3

So, another day some more beard grown.

Plus a bet on at the bookies! A go on the little horses (aka dogs) lost me £2 (typical) but I also put a £10 on for the Pompey game Sunday.

/fingers crossed

Day 2 – Mr Jeffopoliees

The greatest magicians have something to learn…

From me and my almighty card trick – verified by Amy and willingly performed to people to prove I learned it.

Do a card trick

Grew some more beard and booked football tickets for Portsmouth v Blackburn

Day 1

Mostly concentrated on growing my beard (after having a shave for the last time this month, today).

Tomorrow will be better I reckon.

A bright idea…

43 minutes until the 23rd April 2008.

Normally not something to think about. Well unless you’ve just spent 2 hours trying to decide what to do for your 30th birthday and are stuck for ideas. Or not stuck for ideas, but ideas that can’t be answered with a reason not to do it:

“Such and such won’t come if we do that”

“Ooh that costs more money than most people will pay”

“Do we have enough drivers”

“No one’s invented a teleporter yet”

But what if I decided I wanted to do something different? What if I decided I wanted to do  many things different?

I wonder if I could do thirty new things in thirty days? The thirty days before I turn thirty years old.

Nah it’s 11pm with thirty one days to go. I could never do it in that short a space of time could I?
How would it be organised? I mean I could just come up with a list of 30 random things. But surely they need to be proper THINGS (note the capitals making them THINGS I consider list worthy).

Ninety minutes ago I couldn’t think up one thing to do, now I need 30… Maybe come up with a list of 30 items could be the first THING…
